On a trip to Newport several years ago to visit an old friend, I explored the Newport docks looking for images to paint. I sat on those particular group of photos for for a long time before I decided to take a shot at painting one. I picked this one because I loved the composition and the combinations of colors in the plastic drums sitting in front of the boat. This painting took a long time to paint because I decided to try to render it in a more photo-realism style.
